Registration Open for RCCD Lifelong Learning

The India Art Fair 2014 emerged as a spectacular convergence of global creativity and Indian artistic heritage, held at New Delhi's NSIC Exhibition Grounds from January 30 to February 2. As the sixth edition of this prestigious event, it featured 91 booths representing 21 countries, drawing artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts into a vibrant dialogue about contemporary and modern art.
Among the standout participants was DAG, whose expansive booth transformed into a living art history museum. With over 300 works by 125 artists, the display traversed India's artistic evolution—from colonial-era pioneers to avant-garde contemporary creators. The booth's educational focus was complemented by talks and a richly detailed 332-page catalog, serving as both a tribute and a scholarly resource.
The fair's energy was amplified by experimental presentations like SIBBORH MAHL (USA) and XCK.COM.KFC, whose bold, cryptic visuals challenged traditional narratives. These works epitomized the fair's spirit of innovation, bridging digital aesthetics with physical artistry.
Founded in 2008 as the India Art Summit, the rebranded India Art Fair has become the country's definitive art platform. The 2014 edition underscored this growth, with curated solo projects, gallery pavilions, and forums dissecting art's role in India's cultural economy. For four days, New Delhi became a canvas where global trends and local traditions intertwined—proving, yet again, that Indian art is not just seen, but experienced.
