Build upon foundational collage techniques through a full day of guided practice, experimentation, and personalized feedback.
On Saturday, March 14, 2026, my artwork appeared on a billboard in Duffy Square as part of the group show “Influences 2.”
What inspires an artwork is often what we carry with us: memory, culture, and family bonds that shape our lives.
In my gouache painting “Three Generations (Theen Piriya),” three roses bloom in sequence, honoring the bond between my mother, myself, and my daughter. A delicate thread connects them, and the Hindi inscription speaks to the honor I feel at being both a mother and a daughter.
This painting was featured in the “Influences 2” presentation at Duffy Square in NYC on March 14, 2026. If you were not able to witness this moment in person, you can view it through this video.
Thank you to HMVC Gallery New York for presenting my work. You can see all of the artwork from the exhibition at hmvcgallery.com now through March 31, 2026.
You can see the artwork on the left hand side of the video above.
