America 250: A Reflection on Liberty
May this milestone inspire us to carry our light forward.
On Saturday, March 14, 2026, my artwork appeared on a billboard in Duffy Square as part of the group show “Influences 2.”
What inspires an artwork is often what we carry with us: memory, culture, and family bonds that shape our lives.
In my gouache painting “Three Generations (Theen Piriya),” three roses bloom in sequence, honoring the bond between my mother, myself, and my daughter. A delicate thread connects them, and the Hindi inscription speaks to the honor I feel at being both a mother and a daughter.
